Jackson County blesses me again

🤣 For years I would climb those hills, grabbing saplings to pull myself up those steep bluffs making it 400 yards to the top. I finally started concentrating on trying to find where they cross in the bottoms instead of the tops. Took me more time I care to admit to realize I needed to hunt smarter, not harder 😂
I'm a sucker for hunting the tops as well and usually where I've hunted it's buck areas.

For me, it just depends on where the access points are. Our place in Hickman, it's all from on top. In Jackson, it's mostly from the bottom. Figuring out how deer use the terrain has really helped me personally

I totally agree smarter not harder. I'm really trying my best to do that. So far a lot of close calls but haven't actually pulled it together. I'm missing an ingredient but I'm gonna find it soon. Congrats on a great buck and good story. And great payoff on putting yourself where the deer are instead of where you think they should be.
