No jakes for me at this point of my hunting career.

depends on where I am at. Depends on how my season is going. Depends on if i have a request from my dad to bring him a jake to eat.

I have killed one jake in the past 15 years. They are just a little too easy.

Our lease has restrictions on deer, but there are none on turkey's. So in other words, if it's got a beard, it may go down. Depends on how the season is going.

I'm totally content letting jakes walk.
I'd rather meet up with them again a year or two later.

You'd also be surprised how many times I've let a jake walk, only to kill a LB a few minutes or couple hours later. To each their own, but to me, it just increases my opportunity at a LB to pass up a jake, while enjoying more turkey hunting in the meantime.
