And Kiffin has already met with him, according to internet rumor.

Source: #OleMiss HC Lane Kiffin met with Georgia QB JT Daniels and WR Jermaine Burton today in Athens. Both players are in the portal and I am told they see themselves as a "package deal". Would be a massive get for Ole Miss if Kiffin can pull this off.

Kiffin is going to be the master of portal transfers. He has the persona and the backing.

I would really like to know if he was offered any of the big openings this offseason. If he was, and he passed on them; then that really would lend one to believe that he thinks he has a shot at the Bama job when it opens.

If he wasn't offered, then he feels scorned and will ratchet up the new options to obtain players. With the NIL, are there rules in place to keep the coach from having any ties to who is paying the deal? I could see Kiffin setting up an LLC to pay players, if he can do it without getting caught.
 
He announced that he was going a couple days ago. Been expected for a while. I wish him well, but he just couldn't stay healthy, and when he got healthy The Mailman had the position locked down. Talented and classy individual, good teammate by all accounts.

I'm more upset by Jermaine Burton leaving, as UGA had big plans for him this season. But apparently they are going as a package deal. He's a very talented receiver that also couldn't stay healthy this season, but when he was he made the most of it.

Some team will get a good pair wherever they land. Best wishes to them, except for if and when they play UGA
