Juvenile Deers

Awesome stuff! Awesome shots and for sure awesome memories to last a lifetime. Congrats to them both, and you too dad.

I'm late to the party. Seems like every year is a struggle and down to the wire to get my girl a deer and this year is just clicking! Also my crazy son got his first deer. He has been on cloud 9 about his shot placement… which we make a very big deal about in this house.

This was a big deal for sister. Deer was behind us over her shoulder. She saw the deer, binocular and approved he was a shooter. I couldn't assist due to our position. She did it all, positioned the gun, etc. Deer was actually above us. Perfect shot placement as is standard with her.

Sat a few minutes and the does came back. Bubba got his turn.

Having never seen it done, he was disheartened to see the deer scatter and run off thinking he had missed. I saw her fall into the edge of the woods so I knew she was done, but we got to "trail" her and made for a fun video of him walking up on her. We'll remember it forever.

Back home for the Juvenile here, we had sports stuff Saturday and church Sunday morning and only left us Sunday evening to hunt. Took sister to a hot spot and about 30 mins into our sit she saw a buck walking right in behind us on the trail we walked in on. He was on top of us. I tried to lean into the tree and she was awkward leaning around me to get a shot. She panicked thinking she didn't get the usual good shot on him… but once again I was certain I heard him crashing shortly after the shot.

Kids hammered them. 6.8spc with 95gr TTSX always has been and will be bad medicine for them. For the first time in 6 years… pressure is off ol' dad lol

My daughter gets on reads the comments, show her some love!
Congrats to them and you. Best memories ever!!!!!
