Is there a juvenile turkey hunt this weekend?

There is not a statewide juvenile hunt in TN this weekend.

I believe in the past they have had a juvy hunt at the end as well.

I've been chasing them for 15 years or so and I do not remember there ever being a post-season juvenile hunt. There may have been, but it does not ring a bell to me.

The juvy used to be only post season. I killed my first gobbler on a May juvy in 2003. If I remember correctly, there were only 40 turkeys killed statewide on the juvy that season. Pressured birds and burned out adults made it pretty unproductive. Sometime thereafter, they moved it to the front of the season.
