I put the scupper plugs in the kayak and also figured out how to adjust the seat height. One of them, or a combination of both, made a world of difference. I didn't feel like I was going to flip it this time and no water came in at all. Very dry ride now. The only trouble I had was the wind...I use to have a anchor for the kayak but ain't no telling where I've put it. I needed it today for sure.

Found a gravel bar surrounded by deeper water and that is where I caught everything. If I drifted off from it, I wouldn't get a bite at all. Got quite a few bream but threw most of them back. I had 2 yellow perch; one was just a Lil guy but kept the other, and got into a few shellcrackers too. They all came home for crisco lake tonight. Oh and this trip was brought to you by one of the official yak snacks of fishing 😄

I made extra plugs by buying yellow foam golf practice balls at Walmart, using a big needle, threaded para cord doubled up thru ball, ties a knot and loop on other end. Works great and paracord makes handle to pull them out when you want to.
