They really lucked into Pope. I'm not sure where he was on the "list", but it was way down.
Time will tell how good of an Xs & Os coach he is, but they're used to that, as they had Cal who tried to get by on talent alone.

There's a huge difference in Pope and Cal. Pope knows how to coach. He calls plays and changes things up if something isn't working. He had our center playing point guard against TN. He found something that worked and went for it.
I was always team Cal when others had given up on him. He had more good years then bad years at KY. But geez once he was gone and seeing Pope coach it made me realize how much Cal just sat back and watched and wouldn't change up stuff that wasn't working.
The Arkansas team would be the KY team if Cal didn't leave and we'd have the exact same record with those players.
@Spurhunter I seen that video the other night and thought it was awesome. I've really enjoyed this group Pope brought in.

I saw less than half of the second half but Arkansas came to play. Huge win for them.
I will say that again. That's Arkansas 2nd conference win lol. Sucks it had to be against KY but I'll take Pope's team over Cal's team this year all day long.Say that again!

With Cal getting booed I think it lit a fire under his players, especially the ones who played at KY. They all had a good game.
I kinda wish Kentucky had beat them because I don't like him but I couldn't lose either way in that one.
