The right hands didn't greased. They've tried, and tried finding ways around it back in the Tommy Tubberville era. No luck.

Who would listen to that loser and want that dumpster fire of a job.Lane seems to clearly be grooming himself for the ALABAMA job for whenever Saban decides to step down. And Saban has set NO timeline for that to happen. I don't see him going to auburn and that dumpster fire. Why would he? Its more a lateral move with a bit of a pay bump and a little more of a extended contract is all. If he does not turn things around in a couple of seasons they will most certainly be looking to fire him. He could screw things up pretty badly at Ole Miss and they will keep him around. That's all they are offering him. He can tough it out at Ole Miss and be looking at the grand prize.
Does ALABAMA want him? No one knows that but ALABAMA. I think Nick Saban will probably have some guidience with the administration when he steps down and some reccomendations. I can only imagine the two (at this point and time) that they would be looking at would be Dabo and Lane. But who knows what would develop down the road??? Its only the #1 job in College football so every coach will be gunning for it. They can get whoever they want.
Because YOU know he has set no timeline. Good gosh you just keep going.Lane seems to clearly be grooming himself for the ALABAMA job for whenever Saban decides to step down. Right now I think Kiffin would be a good hire.Lane seems to clearly be grooming himself for the ALABAMA job for whenever Saban decides to step down. And Saban has set NO timeline for that to happen. Butch Jones may be available, I know nicky liked the way he brought his coffeeWord on the street is that Kiffin presently really likes Oxford and the Ole Miss job.
And although Kiffin would love to be the Alabama head coach. Who says Alabama wants Kiffin?
I'm thinking it will come down to whoever Saban likes for the job. So who does Saban like?
He'd be perfect!
As well as they shouldSupposedly ol miss threw top ten coach money at kiffin yesterday.
