I guess it won't be LSU as OC!

And I think it could be an issue, as I think it would be extremely unlikely that they would allow him to wait until after the playoffs to assume the reins.

I had rather hoped he would stay on another year and get yet another National Title under his belt before he left the program but it looks like the handwriting is on the wall.

Houston isn't a done deal for Kiffin. Kiffin's agent says the buyout clause Houston wants is too high. Tilman Fertitta is heading up the search and most likely will not agree to a lower buyout. A small bit of Tennessee karma is in play here.

Maybe us ALABAMA fans will sit around these boards for the next 4 or 5 years and moan and cry about Kiffin leaving us???

Nope. I will wish him well. No one wants to be just a OC the rest of their life. At some point you gotta just take that next leap and move on even if the timing is not right.

He would be committing football suicide for not seeing ALABAMA through till the very end. Not like a few weeks is going to make a big impact on what he has to accomplish at wherever his feet land.

I wish him well.

ALABAMA will be in great shape next season. No worries there.

No he doesn't, he is for ALABAMA lol

Lol. You're right.

The football suicide comment is funny, though. Kiffin will be fine without Alabama and Saban.

He sure is fun to have around.

I'm just glad we don't require a breathalyzer test before posting, because we might miss out on some of these :D !

Football suicide :rotf: :rotf:

Kiffin has survived his own stupidity this long. I think he will be fine.

I wish him well if he leaves. He played a big role in evolving Alabama's Offense.

Alabama was fine before him and they will be fine after he leaves.

Bama Proud, from what I see here, you are a true asset to the Crimson Tide. If (insert school here) had a million fans like you, they would be hard to beat.

Football suicide???

He has said publicly that he is uncomfortable having to return to Knoxville and Florida to play.

Imagine if you will him having to Return to Alabama to play SHOULD he leave ALABAMA during the final hours going for a National Championship.
Especially in the event of a ALABAMA upset and WE do not Win the National Championship.

He thinks he is uncomfortable now????? He ain't seen nothing yet in that scenario.
