I wish him well if he leaves. He played a big role in evolving Alabama's Offense.

Alabama was fine before him and they will be fine after he leaves.

Bama Proud, from what I see here, you are a true asset to the Crimson Tide. If (insert school here) had a million fans like you, they would be hard to beat.

I just try not to be an arsehole. Too many people think their opinion is more relevant than others.

I get what your saying. Sometimes those type people think their posts are so important they post the same thing 3 times........... :tu:

Just kidding Bamaproud. Doughboy could learn some things from you but I guess he is busy getting his team ready for the playoffs..... :super:

All of a sudden lots of (AAC) jobs opening. I also have seen Strong for USF, but also Schiano. Houston still open. Temple and Cincy. Have heard Strong's named as a favorite at Cincy. Also read where Fickel wants the Cincy job. Ohio State could lose Fickel, Schiano, and Warriner. I could see Warriner going to Temple. He's ready and he's Ohio State's main NY/NJ recruiter. Hard losing good, successful assistants, buts it's a mark of a good program. Next man up!

what happened to Schiano? he was a hot name there for a couple years, i didn't realize he was DC at OSU.

he would be a great candidate for a bigger job than that. something wrong with him i don't know about?

How long's it been since he was fired by the Tampa Bay Bucs? I think 2 going on 3. He was most likely still getting paid by the Bucs, and I what I read when Ohio State hired him back in January was he spent a couple years visiting different pro and college programs. Learning some new stuff. Once he figured out he wanted back in the college game, he and Urban are good friends, Chris Ash took the Rutgers job, and Urban asked Schiano to become co-DC (Luke Fickell is the other co-DC). Schiano is a great defensive mind. Nothing wrong that I've hear about other than he apparently had problems communicating and dealing with professional players.

Schiano interviewed for the Oregon job. I just can't see him going to USF. Going back to Tampa and becoming the college coach in the town where you were fired as the NFL coach. Just don't see that happening. Allegedly, Urban makes his assistants agree to two years and then they can go take a head coaching gig if it's offered. I've wondered that, given their friendship, mayibe Urban didn't require that when he brought on Schiano, but maybe he did????

Who knows. Maybe Schiano spends another year at OSU and becomes the next head coach at Tennessee after the 2017 season? :smash: :stir: :pop:
