Yesterday afternoon I was running late getting to our lease. At the last minute I decided to hunt a field we rarely hunt as the stand is easy/quick to get to. I climb in and turn around and there's a BIG 8 point and this buck staring at me at 300 yards. They turned and walked off. 30 minutes later this one came out at 500 yards and chased, fed, and bedded. I watched him for an hour and a half.
Finally he started heading my way until he decided to chase a doe off. He was about to leave when I stopped him at 300 yards. I took the shot and he ran about 40-50 yards into the woods. Wasn't sure if I hit him good, but could see his tail wagging like a dog then I lost him. Gave him an hour and went over there and he was laying right near where I saw him last. My 2nd biggest buck to date!! 11 scorable points with a 21.5 inch spread
