I got my Samik out the other day to shoot it for the first time since I bought it last year. Had a flemish string put on it after I bought it and checked to see what it was actually drawing ( 62# at 28 in. ) and put it away. I am very pleased with the way it shot especially for it being a lower end bow. More than likely it will see alot more time in the woods this year than my new compound. Anybody else dusting off the ole stick and string. And if anyone is looking to get into a traditional bow i would recommend a Samik. It not as finely crafted as my dream catcher but for the money its a pretty good one.

Good to hear that you are shooting. I've been stumping a good part of the past. 2 months and went to a 3D shoot this weekend trying to get the kinks out. I'm not used to the hills we were shooting in this weekend but had a good time.

Now this ain't no sales pitch or advertisement but if there is any of you out there that would like to shoot some indoor 3D me and my buddy have opened a shop here in Dayton and have moved all our targets down to the store and I would like to know if anyone would like to get together and shoot. We can shoot almost 30 yards. If enough showed an interest would like to have a shoot for us that like the old wood and string. Also would like the company and would welcome any pointers as I am always looking to improve. Or if you just looking for someone else that likes the old stuff send me a PM and maybe we can get together and sling a few. And if any of you out there are getting together somewhere to shoot let me know and if work lets me would like to come shoot with ya.

"The harvest" ??? is this the place ??

I called up ther about a month ago & talked with the owner about (High County bows : forgive me father for I have sinned) make'n some of the shoots, I'm gonna make it but have to work a few more weekends & should have some extra time to get out, really want to stop in & have a look.

Good deal, been try'n to make it for a while now, a guy at work is want'n toget in on the inside tournaments so we'll be make'n the trip in a weekend or so.

sounds like a good time to be had.

Probably be after deer season when we start the inside tournaments. Going to try and set up leagues for us big kids and the little ones too.

I've had thoughts on shoot'n sevral 3ds this year but end up working the weekends, still mite catch a couple tho.

Hey FOX FIRE we have moved all our 3D targets down to the shop and can shoot in the back of the shop. We have everything from a zombie to a mountain goat. We can get around 25 yards and about 6 shooters at a time safely. Come by and if i'm off but working at the shop would look forward to haveing some company with the ole stick and string.

My work/shoot'n buddy has to move this weekend & I guess you probably have plans for LD, so I'll get a hold of you if I can make it next weekend if ya'll will be around.

Yeah next weekend would be good if you decide to swing by. Got my son's birthday this weekend and going to finish sighting my compound in. After this weekend anytime I'm at the shop on my off days I will have the ole stick and string with me. Its a takedown and thats another reason I love recurves. Oh and the compound is my backup lol
