I had a bad experience with Adam's Taxidermy this year and need to find somewhere new. Any suggestions?

On Hwy 70 headed towards Lenoir City

Well I have never seen to have that problem or i guess i never noticed.

I wish i had the time to do my own but i just don't. I use to do it all the time.
I don't have my grinder anymore and other knives that I Once had. Lenoir city is to far to drive lol.

It's definitely slim pickens around Knoxville for processors. I either do them myself or take then to Wartburg if I'm feeling lazy.
Last deer I took to Rick Hill I got a standard cut and 2 pounds of summer sausage just to see if his was any good and it was right at $100

Never used them, but I'm surprised Coldwater Farms hasn't been mentioned. They are more expensive than Adam's. I've had mixed results with Adam's. But I don't want to drive 45 minutes out of my way for processing. Normally take 1 per year so I just have it done.

He put spoiled beef fat in one of my deer last year I won't take another to him everything was fine but the ground I've also heard from multiple people you don't get all your meat back from him my uncle took a 190 lb deer and got back 50 lbs of meat from him

Understand. :)

That's why I say "Enjoy the journey".

My deer-processing journey is centered around a whirlwind tour of Paris.
We drop everything, take off for Paris.

The deer are hand-delivered to the famous Yoder's, where all kinds of animals are taken for world-class processing. Upon arrival, Mr. Simon will greet you with a sample of specialty treats to cleanse your palate and whet your appetite. You decide exactly how you want your animal processed, while testing the wares of specialty options. Also, be sure you get a bottle of their Muscadine and a whole leg of lamb to bring home to your family.

Next, no trip to Paris would be complete without a world-class meal!
I highly recommend lunch at Trolinger's! When in Paris, eat like a Parisian. :tu:

A month or so later, enjoy the journey back to pick up your deer, dine again at Trolinger's, and don't forget to pick up another bottle of Muscadine and another leg of lamb.

I hadn't used him in probably 12 years for the same reason as your uncle this year I killed 8ptr and the processor I used took a year off well I figured I would give him a try again deer weighed 161pds filled dressed when I got my deer I got half a milk crate 4 Walmart plastic bags needless to say I told him I hadn't been here in 12yrs for this reason and I sure wouldn't be returning ever again

Speaking of processors, I've wondered how viable a mobile processing setup would be. Basically a food truck, maybe with a trailer for a cooler. You could offer your services (for an extra cost) to drive out to people's houses and butcher the deer on the spot. Show up to quota hunts etc. just knock every deer out turn and burn style in 30 min or less on the spot and charge a convenience fee.

I'd pay!

Walmart, a gambrel is $20 and a knife about $15, add $10 in ziplock freezer bags and you got multiple deer processed for less than the cost of one deer at the processor.

I used to go this route. I just prefer the convenience of having my deer processed.

Dennis Rongo on Jones Rd off of Tazewell Pike. Thats one of the CLEANEST places I have ever been. We have started using him since our other guy has quit taking deer this year.
