So I have a case of center-x ive never dipped into. Never shot any center x at all. Someone posted something a few weeks back mentioning what "speed" center-x their rifle likes. I looked into it, and turns out my case is speed 24, or 324 m/s, or 1063 fps.

Just sharing what i learned. Maybe ill actually break it open one day.

Dang sure is! I've pretty much just settled on SK Standard+ and SK Long Range Match due to the difficulty in finding and .22 Lapua ammo no matter what time of year.
Two more that shoot really good in the CZs I've had are the eley subsonic and the Norma subsonic. Not quite as good a tenex or center x, but definitely good enough that it doesn't justify the price of tenex or center x. If shooting competition, you might opt for the match grade stuff...but not for plinking or hunting. Like you, also had good results with SK standard plus.

For whatever reason not a single one of my CZs will shoot any Eley ammo worth a flip. I believe it's the bullet lube that they use. I finally just gave up on it since I know I can pick up a box of SK anything and run with it.

My barrels are 16.5 and 20" in 455 and 457 rifles. I spent several $$$ only to be disappointed afterwards. No more Eley for me.
Don't know exactly how it would effect your results, but I read a little about transonic something or another. Basically, it only takes 16" to burn the powder in a 22. If shooting hypersonic ammo in a 16.5", somewhere down range it will go transonic and disrupt the accuracy. The 20" would have a few inches to slow the bullet down to subsonic before leaving the barrel....in theory. That said, if I was shooting a rifle with a match chamber, such as the mtr...I would shoot match grade ammo in it....and it's subsonic.
I understand that you haven't had good luck with eley...but that was never the case in any of the 20 or so CZs I've owned. SK was also good ammo...I just got better results with the subsonic stuff. And I'm not talking about the 600 fps stuff. It's only a little slower than the regular stuff...to avoid that transonic transition.

Yep, I only shoot match grade ammo unless I've mounted a new/different scope and I use CCI SV, CCI Blazer or TAC 22 to get on paper before shooting the good stuff. And TAC 22 usually shots above its price range.

Tac 22 is another good one. The Norma subsonic is actually tac22 subsonic. It's just a few fps slower...to avoid that transonic transition.

Same for my CZ 457, it just likes Lapua ammo, and some SK.
As I said...the subsonic stuff isn't as good as the match grade..but its not 250 a brick either. Its close, and definitely good enough for squirrel noggins. I don't compete, so...
Oh, and the SS is HP...I get less ricochets with it. The match stuff I think is harder...it bounces all over the woods when squirrel hunting.

Pretty much everything Eley puts out. I bought 5 boxes of everything on the web about a year and a half ago along with Lapua and SK. The Eley just sucks in my rifles and I've read on RFC that I'm not alone in that.
It's funny how finicky .22s can be. I have a couple of rifles that are just the opposite. They won't shoot Lapua well, but shoot almost all Eley well.

I believe headspace has some to do with it. Eley has about .039-.040 rim thickness, while Lapua has around .042-.043 rim thickness. The headspace on my new MTR build sits at .0435 right now, I measured it out before assembling it. I expect it to shoot Lapua good, but I'll try everything I can to be certain. 👍🏻 I may be able to shim the bolt .0015 as well if I think it might tighten up the groups any.
