Not a really specific report here. Just kind of an update on the recent activities of Scenic City Fishing Charters. As everyone knows it's been a strange year... exceptionally cold temps back in the Spring, then some heavy rain causing up & down flows in the river. But like most fishermen, we've managed to adjust and put fish in the boat.

As for RIGHT NOW, flows are back down... fairly low, but seasonal. It makes our Chickamauga Dam tailwater catfish bite in the mornings sort of tough. We're catching LOTS of eaters but bigger cats have been tough to come by (with a few notable exceptions). The fishing (especially the drift bite) can actually be better in the afternoons after they crank up more turbines for more flow... IF you can stand the heat. :livid:

Bass guide Capt. Ben Hayes took a little vacation of his own the 4th of July week, but before and since he's been putting good numbers of Chickamauga bass in the boat. Twenty fish (plus or minus) in a half-day trip has been typical with a few decent kickers. Like most he's fishing a variety of patterns but for clients it's usually more about numbers than size... so the numbers are typically near or in the grass.

You get our regular reports on our Facebook Page and see all pictures in our Photo Gallery, but here's a selection of happy clients from the past three weeks.
