Well I'm headed with my uncle to do some bow hunting up at LBL this weekend. It'll be my first time ever up there and needless to say I'm excited. We are headed up Thursday and hunting all the way through Saturday evening. If anyone knows of an area in unit 12 to begin scouting and don't mind sharing, it would be greatly appreciated. Whether we get a deer or not It'll still be a great time! Thanks guys in advance!

Most of area 12 looks the same mostly big hardwoods and ridges. There is some good bucks there if you have patience. LBL is mostly big forest so it has a low deer density. Look for a pinch point, natural food source, bedding area etc. The leaves are changing colors here in the KY Lake area already. That seems a few weeks early compared with the last few years.

Hi. David here. I'm going up tomorrow on first rifle quota hunt in unit 12. Hope you and your uncle had good success. Have not been able to go up before now so was wondering if you have any suggestions on what part of the area might have looked promising. Understand if you are reluctant to share info with a stranger or one that hasn't had opportunity to do own scouting. Thanks
