Let me hear it....

I miss opening week due to I was in Washington bear hunting. stuck a bear but no blood trail and didnt find it. did shoot a grouse. I went yesterday afternoon for the first time in TN and saw a spike. that's it for me so far.

View from the stand yesterday afternoon. No deer but did see a coyote.

Howatt - I have a similar (if not the same) climber - when I bowhunt, I always try to have the top and bottom stand pieces a little closer than when I gun hunt. I also lean out over the rail when I shoot, so no issues.

On my home front, I'm still trying to have the right deer get close. I drilled my first shot at a deer with my recurve a couple weeks ago, but buried in hte opposite shoulder - no blood and no deer. Still trying to get the next candidate for jerky in close enough.

Cool shot from my phone last weekend:

Little Spikey that was begging for it at 10 yards:

Can you say highway! Not sure if you can actually see the contrast though. There's practically a dirt bike trail running straight away in this picture.

Headed out again for a 5:30-2 hunt tomorrow. Pretty freaking excited.

I killed a hog in Cherokee, hunted 2 mornings and 1 evening since. Saw deer every time and past on a 4 pt at 10 yards. Hoping they get bigger.

Nice hog!

Yep the rail will be in the way on certain angles. My longbows are 68" so sometimes it's hard to bend enough at the waist and I'll throw some high.

Nice, I haven't had the chance to let one fly out of the recurve yet. I am hunting from a tree saddle this year. It is pretty cool.
