it is really simple processing a turkey. If you just want the meat then pull feathers off the breast and slit the skin down the breastbone, skin it out to the thighs and fillet the breast off, remove the legs by cutting through the ball joint and cutting the joint at the foot, that's all there is to it. If you want to cook it whole then you can pluck it out and gut it by cutting an X in the vent below the crapper and pulling everything out by hand.Ladys man":15xn9ivs said:Setterman":15xn9ivs said:Maybe you should research how to kill one first :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: oke: :rotf:Ladys man":15xn9ivs said:Still have never killed one, hoping to change that this year but still researching what to do after the kill and how to get the meat and fan for a mount (taxidermy work?)
Only been 3 times and didn't take the shot because they wouldn't separate and still would atleast like to have an idea on what to do after so I waste as lil as possible, and thanks for the encouraging advice lol
Tail fan is easy, lot of videos showing how to pin it out and dry it.
Just focus on hunting em whenever you get the chance. Don't overthink things when going gets tough, they are simple creatures to hunt, they just don't always cooperate. Persistence pays off
