OK, I'm a cheap bass turd. I try to clean off and re-use every shaft and broadhead I can. I'm down to 4 shafts of the first dozen carbon arrows I ever bought (the old Carbon Express when they still were sold under the Game Tracker name back in the late 80s-early 90s) and 5 shafts of the PSE Dominator that also isn't made any more.

What arrow shafts do you guys prefer/recommend?

I currently shoot a PSE Stinger set at around 63 pounds, and use 27 3/4" shafts with 100 grain heads. Would you think this is a 300 stiffness or 200? It seems to be right in the transition between these two sizes. I think I'd rather go to a slightly longer shaft than a lighter spine or heavier head. My shoulder acts up at times, so I don't want to add draw weight.

People might get on me for using cheap arrows but I like the Cabela's arrows. I actually prefer them and use them over the Gold Tip XT's I've got.

I have shot Eastons for 3 yrs now and I love em, I jus got some Easton Axis infused and can't wait to see how they perform, Thanx Jeff!!

ANY Easton arrow is a great product. Heck, truth is, I bet most arrows are made by Easton, I know Beamon is.

Gold tips are hard to beat for hunting.

If you keep the same shaft length , I would recommend Easton ST Epics in a 400 spine . If you go to a longer shaft length , you might have to go to the 340 for a stiffer spine .
What I like about the ST Epics are the longer HP inserts that allow the inserts to seat properly in the shaft , so they spin true and produce better broadhead flight.

I'm shooting the N-Fused Epics out of my Reezen and I really like them so far. The new N-Fused models have tighter tolerances(.003 straightness & 2.0 weight) than the regular Epics and the price hasn't went up much at all on them. They're an excellent hunting shaft for a really good price.

I'd look into Victory shafts. Ain't heard nothing but good about them. I'll be shooting the V3s. Will run you about $70 a dozen and they are .003 straightness. You can get the V6s for cheaper than that, but I wouldn't go any lower than .003s in arrows. The V6s are .006 and the V1s are .001 but are kinda up there in price (well for a poor man like me anyway).

I really like Easton ACC's... Sure they're straight as heck, but their thinner diameter gets me phenominal penetration on game.
