Just spent about $170 on lithium AA batteries. OUCH!

But at least I know all my cams will be running for the next year!

So we can expect to see some big buck pics soon? ;)

Let's hope. Cameras go out this Saturday.

Lithium is definitely the way to go with AA's. Only 3 of my cameras take those and 3 take C's and one takes D's. in the future, I won't buy anything unless they take AA's. My Scoutguard can't differentiate between regular or lithium, but oh well. I spent $90 last week on batteries and cameras went out Saturday. I'll check in 2 weeks and will do until mid-end of September, then will switch to fields. We have corn, so they will be on the edges where they usually enter.

$10 for six C to AA adapters (enough for one camera):

Very cool. I assume I should I expect 1/2 the battery life as my newer Reconyx that takes 12 AA lithiums? Those 12 batteries lasted me close to 2 years.

These are primarily made for the old Reconyx RC series, that only use C-cell batteries. I bet they will run an RC for 3 months.

I've switched to the AA converters about 4 years ago on my old ReconyX. I now get around 1 1/2 years off a set of 6 batteries. I'm impressed. As I mentioned earlier, the only problem I've encountered is on the last 2 sleeves you put in the camera (the last 2 that make contact with the camera's terminals). Sometimes if you're not careful and since the AAs or not the same diameter as the Cs if the they aren't seated tightly in the battery compartment they make lose contact disarming the camera. Just make sure they are after you set the camera up and walk away and no problem.

I like video mode. Set cameras out on Father's Day and changed cards last Saturday. Had one camera that was dead (lithium ion) and a 16mb card full. Had lithium batteries in three and none would even turn on they were so dead. But that's video haven't tried them on picture mode.

What brand camera are you using? Lithium batteries last FAR longer than alkaline or rechargeable.
