I will do one post at the end of season with the birds i have shot this Spring season, but i wanted to show what i found in the food sack (whatever it is called).

:D if I am lucky enough to shoot another bird before season closes, and assuming the cicadas have hatched, I will cut open the crop and take a look.
 
The one my son killed was full of shelled corn. The scumbags that own the land that borders this property apparently don't know their golden nuggets need to be gone 10 days prior to hunting. And yes they absolutely hunt. Deer and turkeys. And yes they bait deer as well. Every animal I've killed on this property has been full of shelled corn. There ain't a corn field within 10 miles of this property.
 
A gobbler is a remarkable creature that survives by eating practically anything that won't eat him.Excellent picture .
 
I killed a gobbler a few years ago that had clover and honey bees in it's gullet. It must have been in a clover field eating clover and picking off honey bees that he came across.
