I shoot out to the length of my practice range at 50 yards to work on form , but for hunting practice , I practice awkward shot angles from elevated platforms at unknown yardages and only shooting one arrow at each target . This is much more realistic hunting practice .
Deer don't stand still for groups , and most of my shots are at awkward , downward angles , less than 30 yards , through narrow openings in the tree limbs . It makes a huge difference in your hunting shots , and is much more difficult than you would think .
