M1 Garand Value

For many years I have had a near perfect (97%+) M1 garand. It's one of the Marine rebuilds and is marked 0-66 on the rear of the receiver. It was rebuilt by the Marines in 1966. Does anyone here have knowledge of its value? What I find online is all over the place.

It's a Springfield manufactured rifle from the late 40's.

There are so many variables. You would need to disassemble and catalog the markings of all the parts. Major ones are: barrel, op rod and type, trigger components, bolt assembly, rear sight details (there are multiple types), stock is another big one.

I suggest you visit, and register for the forum, at thecmp.org. There is a wealth of knowledge there. I've been collecting Garands for a few years now and still don't have all the answers. Cotis is correct, there are several variables in play. I have a log book dedicated to the research of every component of every one one of my rifles.
You wanna ballpark? I'd say $1500-$2500, but I've seen some crazy things happen on Gunbroker.
Or maybe don't sell it...they're not making any more
