"When McElwain hired defensive coordinator Geoff Collins away from MSU recently, Mullen said: "I don't like anybody leaving for what I would view as lateral moves, to be perfectly honest with you. ... I hope our guys have opportunities to go be head coaches more than leaving for lateral positions."

Cracked a chuckling McElwain in response to Mullen's comments during our Open Mike radio show Friday: "I enjoy (Mullen's) humor."

I would keep my joking to myself, Mullens team could smack the Dr pepper guy around pretty easy

I guess we missed the last two hires and FL would probably put the smack down on Miss. St. like they did GA. FL is rolling and the SEC East should take notice. When the head coach and OC can put 3 N/C rings on the table in front of a recruit, it say's something. I'm sure a coach that won the big east conference can pull out his trophy.... :rotf:

Assistant coaches and one head coach's team that got beat in a bowl game by a nobody 45-10 yeah good luck with that!

Not looking good for the Vols... FL is bringing in the big name coaches with several N/C... Go Gators.

:rotf: Gator,you would be happy over any coach getting hired at Florida,you think Florida is rolling and they have a #75 recruiting class,different story at Tennessee,they will have back to back top 5 classes,that is rolling.

Might want to do your researh.. Since the guy played in the NFL and I'm guessing his senior picture (CBJ) isn't in a band uniform... :rotf:

Wow 3 sports and in the band, very versatile young man, very proud to have him as our coach, its already showing how driven he is!!!

Like the vols knew who Butch was before he was hired. Mullen needs to support his coaches and stop trying to bigtime MSU. It makes him look petty. He'd have been better off just saying good luck to the guy. MSU will be MSU again next year.
