making the vow

So are you still a bowhunter if you simply use a bow to extend your season?

Yet you hunt with a gun if that season is open?

HMMMMMM!!!
Yes I am a bow hunter, and I am also a gun hunter. I am not exclusively a bow or gun hunter though. Not sure if I would want to be, unless some time years down the road I get tired of using a rifle.

IMO, this is the definition of a DEER hunter. Not a bowhunter, nor a gun hunter....a DEER hunter.

You are a deer hunter who hunts with bow or gun. You use the bow to extend your deer hunting season. And you use the gun to hunt when you are allowed.

You have to ask yourself this question. If guns were allowed on opening day of "bow" season, would you use a gun?

If the answer is that you would use a gun, or both, then you are not a bowhunter. You are a DEER hunter.

There is NOTHING wrong with this.

And you can still call yourself anything you want.
Because in the end, we all need to stick together, and just HUNT!!!.

Yes Sir, support each other Hunting! Simple as that.

I thought bow hunter was simply a hunter who uses a bow. Looks like people have different definitions. I don't just bow hunt to extend my season, although that's a big plus. I get more of a thrill killing one up close with a bow and would never want gun season to open in sept or oct

That's the great thing about the Web, and opinions.

We are all entitled to our own, and can post that opinion if we want.

You can be a "bowhunter" during bow season (or when you carry a bow).
A "gun hunter" during gun season (or when you carry a gun).

But you CAN'T be a "gun hunter" during bow season.

Unless you are squirrel hunting with a gun during squirrel season?

But what if you were squirrel hunting with a bow during gun season?

I don't know, it gets so confusing?

Where is bowriter?
