That's pretty incredible.
Weren't any this morning on this side of the state. Maddening.
Were you there at sunset Thursday? Could have been like that then too. I know one place I hunted by the refuge you might only see 50 ducks all day long, but after shooting time at sunset it would look like that everyday.

The owners of the land were there
Camden bottoms several years ago, last day of season, we had scratched out 6 all day. Had to make 2 trips back to the landing so I stayed in the blind for the second load. Thousands of ducks flew over and around about 10 minutes after sunset. It was a sight to see for sure, but frustrating because of not seeing many of them all day long.

Even Old Hickory has had glimpses of this. Last day a couple years ago and hundreds upon hundreds were buzzing our head as we were picking everthing up for the season. You could've caught a few with a fishing net. Yes, extremely frustrating.

Old Hickory Unit 1 closed at 3pm each day and the ducks learned the routine quickly. Every day at 3:05 they would start cruising the bottoms and start plopping down to feed. On the last day of the season, quitting time was sunset but the ducks were still on the 3:05 schedule. We made them pay.
