March vacation begins

I know where you're at. Bull Shoals State Park. That's where I've been going camping/fishing every November for the past 20 yrs. Beautiful country up there.

Yes, the terrain reminds me of east Tennessee. The housing developments haven't sprung up everywhere there yet. It reminds me of how it was back home some 30+ years ago. Sorta like stepping into a time machine. I told the guides that, and told them they're fortunate to live in an area like this and to enjoy every minute of it while they can.

Made it back home. Already wanting to go back! Yesterday it rained most of the day and I didn't have a fishing day but the guide I had, put 32 browns in the boat. My brother inlaw and nephew fished in it and boated 19 browns and a few 22-25 inch ones. My niece and him fished a half day today and had a slow morning. Had a 25" rainbow and a couple browns over 23 but that was it.

We fished with Cranors guide service. Our guides were Lou and Craig. Both super guys. Craig is a younger guide but has quickly gained a reputation for putting people on big fish. Last week he had a client get a 15 pounder and then my 8 pounder this week. He was in Field & Stream last year, this same week, for a big 25lber.
