McCollough arrested

Sounds like he chased the guy down the street and attacked him?

Huh? Read the article, or better yet the police report. He followed him 30' from the door of the apartment where he hit him, and he fell down some stairs.

Still unjustified and stupid.

I wonder if losing the teeth happened with the punch or falling down the stairs?

Down the street - 30' same difference still unjustified attack on someone in retreat.

I've read 3 articles.....I've yet to see how far the man walked away so was 30' just a guess? All of them say he was walking away, but was he 10' away or 50' . I'm guessing since they was stairs he was probably still in the building of the apartment complex.

Also, if a random drunk man walks into my home or my GFs home I'm going to follow him outside as well and ask some questions. I wouldn' punch him then leave that's is where he screwed up especially the retreat part.

Also says the man told him
"He didn't have to be a (expletive) about it'

So not only did some random drunk man walk into his GFs home his now gonna cuss at him?

The link to the police report is in the article above. It says 30' from the door of the apartment.

I agree that there is a lot that we don't know, but at the end of the day, the police believed an arrest was warranted.

Be interesting to see what happens next.

Ok 1' it don't matter
"As Spencer was walking away, he told officers he heard footsteps and turned around, which is when he was struck in the face and fell down the stairs, losing consciousness."
So he sucker punched this guy, he didn't try to ask questions.
It's strange what some actions people will defend.
Why didn't they simply lock the door and avoid all this? I'm sure there's more to this story. Maybe we'll find out the guy he attacked was an exboyfriend.

Again I've yet to see where he was he was suckered punched.

I did see where the guy cussed at him so I'm guessing they was facing each other talking.
It's strange to me how some people just make up parts of story's "chased down the street " Suckerd punched"
Again he was in thre wrong for the punch and run I've said that not defending it HE WAS IN THE WRONG I've already said that

I would follow a drunk man that just walked into My home 10 yards down the road most people would. The punch an run he was wrong, And I don't have my doors locked at 3:30pm while I'm home most people don't

I would also follow a random drunk man that just walked into my home 10 yards down the road. I think most people would. The running away after the punch is what I have a problem with.

I agree more will come out.

How would you handle a drunk stranger coming in on your wife unannounced?

My wife and I. Don't forget he was there. if he continued advance I put two to the chest. If he retreated, professing apologies. I wouldn't follow him until I got the opportunity to shoot him. Or until he turned around and I punched him. When he left I'd call the police and have them follow up.

Weird thing is he was too drunk to remember which apartment to go in but he can remember all the details of the incident even after being unconscious at the bottom of the stairs.
Yeah that's weird. That didn't cross my mind til you mentioned it.

Building. Not just apartment. He was in the wrong building. And those friends he was there drinking with, nobody could find them to get a statement.

and it wasnt like it was 3am and dark, it was the middle of the afternoon. my Chinese friend would say
Sum Ting Wong

I wasn't there and I doubt we have the whole story. It appears a guy (probably drunk) entered the wrong apartment. But what the occupants would have been justified in doing in the apartment is a whole lot different than what they are justified in doing after he left saying he had the wrong apartment. Cussing has nothing to do with it.

I suspect the victim of the attack will be taken care of and this will go away.
