Me likey!

Oh, we've got them! I'm just super lucky to have the neighbors I do (huge agricultural bottomlands) and one of those neighbors is a Federal Refuge. So we still pick up the occasional top-end buck.

But as for bottom end, check out the mature buck in the below video. He can't score 80 gross.
Was that bird at the end of the video trying to light on his rack?

We use to have 10+ deer a year on cam that would go 130+

With the influx of bean permits and antler high grading id be surprised if there's more that 15 bucks on the 3000 acres that includes our farms. I haven't had but 1 buck on cam in the last month, i get the same family group of 6 does/yearlings every day. I was getting 2 mature deer on cam in the summer, both 5.5 yr old, and neither will break 130.

So sorry to hear that Rockhound. Something has to be done to help farmers that doesn't include allowing them to slaughter the local deer population.
Alot of the farmers especially the big ones are triple dipping, and it's killing people with recreational properties. They get government subsidies, they get depredation permits for crop damage, and then turn damage in for insurance claims. Then sell the crop.

The local one here told me a couple weeks ago that they are written permits as soon as the beans are in the ground and the tractor leaves the field. Officers Don't inspect fields for damage prior to issuing permits, nor do they check on them during or after the process.
