Midway

I don't think they'll stay that high for the long haul. Not sure they'll ever go back to $25 though. Guess it depends on how many people buy as they start coming back.
Don't know if they will ever come back down or not. A gamble, that this admin won't be able to shut down online ammo and component sales. biden did say he wanted to shut down all online ammo sales.

Another plus in my mind anyway, is what individuals like myself are buying before the scalpers can, is that they are not being put on gb.

Primers will eventually drop back to very close to pre-biden levels. It will take at least as long as the post Sandy Hook shortages to resolve. Meaning we will get our chance to vote the Dems out of power in the House and Senate before normalcy returns.

Sure hope I am wrong

That's rotten, sounds more like "Cheaper than Dirt" than Brownells.
My email to Brownell's:

I am pretty frustrated to learn that my order was canceled. The primers were in stock when I placed my order, and even after placing my order, I checked and the status still showed they were in stock. I have been trying for months to buy primers with many close to making it orders, just missing by seconds. The email stock notifications are not coming to me, have just been refreshing pages and checking through the day as I can. I finally managed to get through with this order only to learn later that the order that went through was canceled. Brownell's has in the past been pretty good with this type thing. I feel under the circumstances, that my order should have at least gone to backorder or been given the option to be at the front of the line for the next in stock. But I did not even get a notice specifically letting me know my order was canceled, instead got an invoice that showed "unable to fulfill". And later got an email saying my order was being processed where it showed it was actually canceled.

Why was my order picked to be canceled when the status showed still in stock for a few minutes after I placed my order?

If there is an option to keep my order on backorder for the next time stock comes in or to actually get notifications and an opportunity to buy primers before the bots/scalpers get them It would be great.

I expect to hear some answers on how brownell's will handle this.

Will report back if I hear back from them.

Being somewhat new to this hobby, I've had to pick up primers as I find them at prices I'm not happy about but not GB pricing either. I'm sure it will eventually level out and supply will come back but don't think it will be the same as it has been in the past. If it does, I'll be fully stocked for the next round. There's a very different vibe in the raw materials department now that leads me to believe we won't see the $.02 primers ever again but hopefully they will get back to $.05 and possibly have more than 10 seconds to make a decision on whether or not to buy!

Keep us posted on the Brownell ordeal. My guess is they had an IT glitch and over sold available inventory and the best you'll get is a "we're sorry" bs email. Also, let me know if you're looking for a specific primer and I'll keep a watch out.

Btw, I don't think any of the notifications for any of the online retailers are working at the moment.

Got an email yesterday evening from Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore that CCI primers were in - tried to order this morning when I saw it - all gone. So I put a box on the wish list. We'll see if that makes any difference.
