[Bad habit]

I fired up the pot with some pure lead and cast about 175 of these pills. The powder coat is making it hard to put the gas checks on. I also have the non-gas check version of this mold and may just use it instead. Going to be used in a 3 inch Model 60 with adjustable sights.

That's a fine looking bullet. Have you tried them at higher velocity, to see how they expand? I would imagine they would be expanding too fast at higher velocity. Being pure lead, that's pretty soft.

 

[Bad habit]

This isnthe first time to use this mold. I want .38 velocities. I cast a bunch with the flat base version of this mold and they turned out GREAT!
