Well Vols tanked..But I never cooked a big batch of mixed greens Gonna try that tomorrow with some soup beans cornbread and smoked chicken. Even though I do love greens. Going to be my first venture in getting bunches of collard/mustard/kale greens. Cooking them up. Think I use ham hock, little vinegar, some cooking oil, salt blac pepper, little garlic onion and red pepper flakes...What you guys think.

I just ate the first batch of mustard greens from my garden tonight. I cooked them in chicken stock, red pepper flakes, and pork drippings.

Leave the vinegar to sprinkle on after they are done,I prefer mixed greens most of the time,I bet the patches have done good around here with as much rain as we've had

I like 1/3 turnip greens, 1/3 purple top, and 1/3 mustard greens mixed. Got to have some good pepper sauce to go on them. Also have to have cornbread. I like fried chicken but would just as soon just have the "stickings" in the skillet to make tomato gravy. Poured over the cornbread with the greens and I can eat myself silly.

we buy the smoked turkey wings at Kroger in the refrigerated section, boil them about an hour and a half till they fall apart. remove them and pull the meat. add greens to the boiling liquid with little red pepper flakes then add pulled meat back into pot. best greens ive ever had

Thanks for all the suggestions. I got some smoked porkloin the greens will be a great side with cornbread, cole slaw and fried taters and onion. Or big pot of soup beans instead of taters.

I love greens. Poke sallet, amaranth, collards, mustard, kale, all of them. you're on the right track.

You should look into different varieties such as bok choy, etc as well.
