More fun? Turkey or Deer?

Aint nothing like a crisp fall morning and the sound of footsteps in the leaves to break the silence and the excitement of whats headed in your direction.. that gobble gets the blood pumping.. tough call but i think i would give up turkey before deer.

turkey season is better for several reasons. nicer weather, the birds tell you where they are, and turkeys taste better alot better.

I agree the weather is better and they taste better. Unfortunately, they donty have antlers.

Coyote is most fun for me.... But I would pick deer over turkey.

I have a good time yote hunting with my buddy and sons too...we rarely get one but it's fun as heck to call them in...I like to eat what I shoot and that's the only drawback with yotes

I have recipes for yote that might change your mind

Turkey is the best. After that is duck. There must be something to help use up some of the time between those two, that is where the deer fit in.

Hmmmmmm......I've thought about this alot and it runs almost even for me,I love the fact that turkey hunting is more interactive, also love the warmer weather and not having to fool with scent control, and I love hearing a tom sound off just yards away..but seeing a big o'l rack just freakin floats my boat and like others have said it's more of a challenge to kill that mature buck than to call in that old tom(usually )

turkey hunting for sure. I love deer hunting but Turkey hunting is more fun to me. Weather is better and you CALL them not just sit for 3-4 hours and wait around.

For those that say shooting a mature buck is MUCH harder then a gobbler, well what about shooting a MATURE 4 year old gobbler. They are not very common but i assure you they are hard as hell to kill. Jakes and 2 year old birds are hard but do able however the older mature long beards are a different story.

thats just me though, if the wife said i had to choose i would pick turkey hunting.

Turkey!!! I like the fact that you can go to a ridge. Hoot, make noise and if one don't gobble, move the next until you hit a hot one.

Deer for me is setup a stand. and HOPE one comes for me to see it.

So Turkey is way more exciting for me. (plus i'm better at it!)
hahah

Deer all the way for me! I live for each fall I get to hunt for them whitetails. I love turkey hunting though, as well as any other type of hunting.

As others have mentioned, a mature buck is much harder to kill than a mature turkey.

If you are serious send me some...never heard of eating yotes but I'm up for it

I really can not compare the two. They are totally different for me. I am alot more serious about Deer, but I tend to enjoy Turkey more.
Late Deer season can get pretty cold and lonely. I seem to always have a twelve year old buddy during Turkey season.
