And definitely him know. The worst feeling as a hunter is to wound an animal and not find it. Knowing the outcome brings closure.

Great buck. Congrats. Definitely inform the guy that u had recovered the buck. I'd want to know and he can take the news however he wants to.

I would agree, let him know. I'd suggest adding the following words/phrases to your message....they ALWAYS make people feel good

- "how do you like them apples?"
- "sucks being you"
- "I remember my first bow hunting season"
- "Bee-yatch"

Congrats on a great buck.
