I shot a .565 carlson's with Federal #9 TSS out of my Mossberg 20 gauge when I first started shooting TSS. I always thought the pattern looked a bit patchy though. Tried a Indian Creek .562 and didn't see much difference. On a whim, I tried a .568 Carlson's Longbeard XR. Surprisingly, that turned out to be the ticket. Pattern really evened out with good pellet density at 40 yards. At least in my gun, that Federal TSS seems to like a choke that's a bit more open.

Is that at 40 yards? Did you count the 10" and 20" pellet count? That will most certainly kill a turkey, however, I think from the looks of it that you should be able to do better. It also seems to be a pretty tight pattern without much forgiveness. It may be how I am looking at it but don't look as good as many 20 ga patterns.

I can't speak for the Mossberg and Federal TSS, however, most people are shooting the Carlson's 575. My 870 with hand rolled TSS and a Carlson's 575 throws a wicked pattern. There is no place within a 20" circle that you can put a turkey head and not get it peppered. If a turkey flies off after the shot, it's not on the gun.

I didn't do a count, I also pulled slightly right. The pattern was pretty even. I don't think it was as good as my 870 20gauge with 575 carlsons. But I think it's very killable with some wiggle room.
I will try to get a count.
