Mossberg 835 trouble

If you haven't already, get you a Sims recoil pad to go on it....

Don't get too close to the scope, I'm sure you know... And as far as camo.... see Rugers most recent thread in this forum about camo'ing a gun.

I saw your post on the camo Grizzly. Thanks for that, that is some good info. And yes, the recoil wants to knock you into the next county every time you shoot it. It kicks twice as hard as my .300 Weatherby Mag. Even sitting in a Caldwell vice, you dont wanna shoot it more than about 3 times :D . I'll take a look at the Sims pads

JC I'm in the same process with my 870. I finally got a new duck gun so this is getting converted to a turkey machine.

Two nights back I built an extreamely "custom fit" stock extention from a block of wood. This backs me off the stock so I don't punch myself with my thumb when laid over the stock (shot 2 last year with it laid down the side but it isn't comfortable).

I have tru-glo adjustable sights to put on it, a jellyhead .665, and some sling studs.

Camo is going to be another "custom" job. I'm a practical type person and not big on asthetics as long as what I have is practical. I'll post some pics up of this poor boy conversion when I get it finished.
