Mossberg 835 ?????

I havent shot this thing in 2-3 years with turkey loads,put new sights on it today and shot it in my brothers lead sled,,

is it normal when you shoot the WW HV 3 1/2 inch 2 ounce load for the slide to come back and eject the empty case under recoil,,I mean when you shoot it all you have to do to reload is push it back closed..

I dont remember it ever doing that before,,but I never shot it in a lead sled either,,would holding it solid in the rest like that cause it to cycle open when fired??

Mine does it about every shot..
In fact I have 2 of them and they both do it with the 3 1/2" loads in them..

Yes, normal.
Lots of recoil with that gun and shell combo.

I love these new sights,,got it centered at 30 yards and called it good,,I have shot it enough over the last 15 years to know what it will do,,all I needed was to get the new sights lined up..
