I have a sims recoil pad on mine. It helps some but still kicks like a mule. You never notice it though when staring down the barrel at a big red head.Cbutl said:Do any of you have the 835 with the recoil reduction system?

I've been shooting the large bore moss bergs for over ten years and tried all kinds of guns including the SBE's, nothing can hold a candle to them. The 10ga bore just flat out produces better patterns. Get the 690 and shoot Nitro loads and you have the best rig you can get.

Chrmayo is dead on.
An 835/935 with a Rhino 690 shooting the triplex Nitro loads, you will have the best killing machine know to man. Certainly put a limbsaver pad on your gun, makes a huge difference. One more thing, you had better use a scope with this combination because under 30 yards its so tight you will miss a bird easily.
I ment to say a 690 in jellyhead but a pure gold 670 in my 835 is light out over 250 in the 10 in target at 40!!! I cant express enough the polishing of any shotgun barrel to get awesome patterns!!TheRealSpurhunter said:knightrider said:a 670 after market choke will generally out shoot the factory choke by a lot, the most important thing you can do is polish the barrel and get n after market choke and generally 3 or 3.5 magblends is the ticket, every 835 I have used or patterened has loved the 670 jellyheadCbutl said:Does the 835 or 535 pattern good with the factory chokes?
The Jellyheads are the only tube I've seen in an 835 that patterns well at all, 670 is TIGHT for the larger bore of the 835/935 barrels. Most of the heavy shells 2-1/4 oz stuff needs more room or you risk over constricting the load and getting bounce which will blow your pattern apart. 680, 690 and even 700 for the big stuff, especially Nitro shells.
you are correct I ment 690 in jelly head and 670 in pure gold :blush:Cbutl said:The 835 jellyhead doesn't come in 670 only 690
