Mountain birds or flatland birds?

Hard to beat the sense of accomplishment of callin up and killin a sure nuff, East Tennessee, public land, sharp spurred, ridge runnin gobbler.

The mountain birds are tougher....you have an advantage as far as getting uphill of them, and natural passes funnel the birds BUT besides the terrain being tougher, a bird may be gobbling within 100 yards of you, but on a true mountain, there is no way to get to him, because the grand canyon is between you and him.

Your right but d@## the are FUN!!! Who wants an easy flat land bird. LOL. I know none of them are easy.

Dont know how the swamp birds are easy. They will roost over beaver ponds and such and fly anywhere from 100 yards to 1/2 mile before they touch ground.

I have never hunted a flat land bird so I don't know what it would be like. I do really love the mountains on a fine spring morning hearing gobblers near and far.
