Thank you! Shots were at 53 yards, 11.5" barrel. I built that gun specifically for 100 yards or closer. The doe dropped in her tracks from a broadside shot into the vitals, no blood trail given she dropped instantly. For the buck, the shot was a pass through into the vitals broadside at a slightly downward angle. He ran about 50 yards up the mountain and piled up. There was an easy blood trail for the buck given the shot was a pass through and the bullet exited below the entrance. I didn't take a picture of the exit, but the projectile expansion looked like a 9mm hole. I'd use a different gun/caliber if hunting a large ag field or somewhere I knew shots would be at a longer distance.Nice buck, what do the exit/entry wounds look like? Did you recover the slug or complete passthrough?
