Moving to Cookeville

There are multible ways I wont name.😁
To the original poster, these guys are leading you right about places to hunt. I can say, I've lived in the area my entire life and my best places are private land, big or small, that I've asked permission for. Yes, that still works, but may take some patience. Things happen as you get to know people.

Yeah I've found networking is the best way to get on private. I'm in no rush. I'd like to find a place to slip in with a climber and bow without having to drive to my lease. All good!

Its a beautiful area. Hunting will worse…..fishing will be better. Guess its a trade off. Id like it better than Franklin. As long as i lived far outside the city and had some land

Walnut is getting just as bad as willow and Jefferson. It's not a secret anymore
That's a fact! I'm in Baxter so I'd always head in to Cookeville on Buffalo valley Road. Using Stevens and Walnut I could avoid most traffic up until the past few years. It's getting horrible. Sunday mornings is about the only time I go to town unless it's absolutely necessary.

Stevens is a pretty good cut thru but narrow. It'll be widened fairly quick. I think they're in the right of way acquisition now.

Yeah they are. My wife and daughter are really close with the girls at The Country Bumpkin. My wife was telling me how the city was trying to get that corner.

I just moved to Sparta about a month ago and have been doing some research on public and private. Lots of private farm land and public core property in the area. Just have to put Boots on the ground.
Seriously? Dang didn't know that.

As for Cookeville I loved living there when I was at Tennessee Tech but that was 91-95 and it's changed a ton. Have a good buddy that still lives there but he doesn't hunt so no help there. Congrats on the baby and marriage!
