Ok. My son has started bowhunting and have bought safety lines for all the stands he will be hunting. I noticed that each muddy safety line (what u clip to while climbing up and down) has 2 prusik knots. The instructions mention it has 2 but doesnt say which you are supposed to use. Does anyone know? Is there 2 so 2 people can hunt together? A little confused. I wear a harness but have have always clipped in when i got in stand to a strap around tree, so this is new to me. Any help is appreciated!

In case you hang a double set. One for each person ascending the tree.
Gotcha, so one is as good as the other for a single climber?

I had an ascender on mine. Simplified the whole thing and made me feel safer.
Yep just use the top one
I have two on my ladder stand line. I clip into the top one and clip my gun onto the bottom one. Once I am settled, I pull up the rifle, unhook it, the slide the second knot up to just under the armrest of the stand. Then I clip my pack onto the lower second knot. Keeps my stuff close to hand and Im never off the ground without being clipped in.
