Isn't it crazy how these animals can make us lose our minds?
 
That part of Texas has a special place in my heart. I've been trying 7 years to draw a quota hunt. I've scouted for it quite a bit in person but no tag yet. I've seen some dandies every time I've went. Congrats on an absolute bruiser!!
 
Wow! Awesome deer and wonderful story of the hunt. If I am ever so fortunate to get a deer anywhere near the size of Mufasa I would quit probably deer hunting and take up coyotes full time.

Yeah, I grew up hunting all those years when TN allowed a hunter to tag out in one unit and then go to another and do the same. We had hunting properties in bordering units for a long time and took full advantage of it. We kept ourselves, and our families and friends, stocked with venison! Back in those days we could take 4 bucks in one unit and go do it again in another one, and that's on top of all the does allowed! And we could take as many bucks as we wanted in the same day up to the unit limit! I still have to wonder how many TN trophies we never saw because we always shot the first buck with horns, and those trophies were standing in the shadows watching 🤦‍♂️.
 
I saw the title and thought this post was in the wrong forum. I had to click on it to find out this is not a "Lion King" movie review.
