MY BEST BUCK EVER!!!

Abolt,
Great deer! congratulations! Question: What time did you shoot him? Morning or evening? I've got a couple of small food plots with trail cams of big bucks on it at night. So far, I have hunted evenings and haven't seen them. Was going to try mornings and see if I might get a sighting.
Thanks,
Bret

pastorbmp,
I shot the deer around 6:25 central time. I watched the bucks for around 10-15 min, which felt like an hour! So, they prob. started moving around 6. After checking the trail- cams I have a lot of activity on the plot, mornings and evenings (Bucks included). Even more daylight pics that night time! I think this is for a few reasons though because it is not true with my other cams. This plot is never pressured. The only times I have been to it this year is to plant the food plot and fertilize it. Also, it has a huge, singled out oak tree that is loaded with acorns. And, we can slip in the stand from the back side and not disturb them. I try to hunt this stand mainly in the evenings, because they are bedded down and I can get in there before they do. In the mornigs, if they are feeding on the plot, there is no way to get in without disturbing them.
Keep after your bucks, they will come feed in your plot, you just have to be there when they do!!!

good looking deer.

I think it is neat that both the same deer (8 point and 11 point) were still running together.

Have you talked to your dad? I seen him today at lunch and he did not say anything about you killing that deer. Holding out huh? :D Congrats Brad on a fine buck!

Very nice bow kill buck Brad. I see you are from Knox County but mentioned you killed the buck in Central time. What county is that buck from? How big of an area do you hunt?

Again, congrats on a fine buck.
