Have an acre or so of chufa that did well. Never had it on this property before but want the turkey to find it before season. They haven't yet. Anyone disked up to help them find it and how long did it take them to find it?

I'd think if you disked some up they'd be in it within a few days provided the birds are in the neighborhood. The freshly turned dirt alone will draw them in and once they discover the nuts are edible they' should be good to go.

You can just go out and pull some of it out of the ground. I usually take my kids and let them pull it up and throw it around. But wait til closer till time. They will find it quick and be all over it.

That's what I thought...want it there in the season to serve its purpose! If they can find wheat in 2 days they'll find this quick too- Thanks guys

Just a heads up, but that probably would not be legal to hunt over if done during or just prior to the season.
