Nascar blows it ,IMO.......

I think all sports should adopt more "Let em Fight" Hockey Rules. Can't wait to see someone tackle Tiger Woods when he shows them up with a fist pump or Bass Fishermen "Bumping & Rubbing" while blazing down the Lake.

"What if" we had no rules. Definitely would be fun to watch, but this is a dangerous sport, unlike the majority of other sports, when a mistake is made, someone, fan or participant, could be killed. Got to draw the line somewhere, and it used to be scribbled there somewhere too, but this mindset of late is a dangerous turn of events imo.

Im for one glad to see Nascar is letting the drivers race again. I dont agree with what Carl did since both accidents were his fault so if Im Brad Im pissed. I think Carl should have got a one race suspension but oh well he is on probation so if Im Brad and end up a few laps down at Bristol and Carl is on the lead lap guess what Im doing ;)

Last year at Talladega Brad did the exact same thing to Carl Edwards, watch the replay and you will see him turn up into Carl. Not a big deal was made of it. If brad wolud have slid into the grass or just spun around there would not be a big deal, but since the car flipped it is a big deal. The fans take a chance of being killed at any race they go to so saying that could have killed someone doesn't fly. There is no difference in what Carl did that what Brad did last year so they're even. Brad has had problems with Kyle Bush, Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, and Carl Edwards, with that being said who is the bottom denominator? I think nascar should have given Carl this year the same punishment that Brad got last year after the Talladega race.

I haven't been interested in NASCAR since I was a kid due to all the BS rule changes, restrictor plates, etc! I'd rather watch old re-runs of races from the 80's and 90's when it was still competitive and exiting to watch. Rubbin' is Racin'!!!!

I'd just assume go to Duck River dirt track or Winchester (if it was still open) and watch the local dirt track racers go at it than watch all this over-rated cry baby crap they call NASCAR! IMO. nuff said. good day

BTW why don't he just throw his helmet at him or punch him in the face like they used to. Man up a little! :D

But taking a guy out when you're 150 laps down is not. It's a cheap shot, perpetrated by a two-faced bagga-doucha guy. Ol' Carl puts on the "Awww Shucks" face for the camera, but he's a downright jackass. I've never liked him, and he never seems to be able to take it near as much as he likes to dish it. He INTENTIONALLY wrecked a guy in the fastest part of the series's fastest track. It was lowdown, cheap, and potentially fatal. Edwards should have been parked. He forgets that when he flipped, numerous fans in the stands got sent to the hospital.

There's a difference in "letting boys be boys" and "you crossed WAAYYYYY over the line". Carl passed the line about the third unsuccessful attempt to wreck Brad.

No he didn't. They were racing for position (Brad had it), the yellow line issue had been firmly quoted, and both drivers knew it. The only "turning into Carl" that was happening was a result of the right side wheels slowing down because Carl came down. There's a difference between battling for a win and knocking a guy out because you forgot to change a maxi pad 150 laps ago.

I have problems with Hamlin, Kyle Busch, and Edwards too. They come to the Busch league to race with the "little guys", bump them around a bit, and expect them to take it. Then they get their pads in a wad when the little guys give them the Cup Star treatment. Good for BK.

yes he turned up into Car. You can see the front of the car move up into Carl's car. I am not a Carl Edwards fan, actually I am a Harvick fan if it were to be known. So what you are saying is that it is ok to spin a person into the wall on purpose as long as they are going for the win? Spinning a person on purpose is spinning a person on purpose whether they are on the last lap or the first lap it is wrong, and for cocky Brad to do it to Carl and then have it done back to him is fair play. If he can't take it then he doesn't need to dish it out, it all about respect and Brad obviously has none for anyone else!

can I remind everyone that there is a huge difference in bumping and rubbing paint while actually racing for the lead.

Edwards was 150 laps down while the other guy was on the lead lap......definitely a revenge deal....!

Sort of like a defensive lineman taking out the knees of the QB in a football game well after the game had been decided......but hey, it's a rough sport.....that's football!! haha

yes it was a revenge deal but like I said spinning someone on purpose is wrong no matter what the circumstances are but for Brad turn about was fair play

Here's the NASCAR on YouTube video of the Dega race. You can see that BK holds his line, and the car then turns to the right when Edwards contacts him. Same principle as hitting a puddle with your right side.....the left side is going faster, so you turn right because of the speed difference. The steering wheel doesn't cause the car to turn.
