Anyone have a turkey vest that they just couldn't live without? I've got about 15 years in mine, it's time to get a new one and would love to hear what you guys suggest.

I have a Bucklick creek vest that has the kind of seat in it that you can sit up in without sitting against a tree. ( i guess thats the best way to word it) Anyway, its been a lifesaver. I really like it and would look for another one just like it when this one wears out.

Ol' Tom makes excellent vests.
Oh yeah, I love mine. Compact, great pocket layout for me, it's not hot and it hugs your body not all flapping like others I have had.

I have thought more that once about getting that vest and am throwing the idea around again. Just haven't done it yet. That being said, I like the vest I have now and wouldn't have a problem recommending it to anyone. Its a RedHead Striker. they're about the cheapest you can get with call specific pockets. The only two things I don't like is the seat folds up on the inside of the vest a the striker holders are just elastic with a flap over the top. They could fall out of the bottom & the tips can be exposed. Mine is a few years old so they may have changed those by now.

I have a Mossy Oak Limbhanger and I absolutely LOVE it. It has a great cushion, good design and layout and is very durable. I searched and searched a few years ago kind of like you seem to be doing and decided on this vest. You won't be dissappointed.

Is the padded foam back on this vest not hot during warm weather?
In normal turkey hunting weather its not hot at all(below 80). If it gets hotter than that every vest ive ever owned is almost unbearable if im walking a lot, but none of those where as comfy as the tatr.

I've got a mossy oak super elite. Plenty of room for everything and a great cushion.

I bought mine 20 years ago. I don't know what it is called but it was made by Mossy Oak. It is the old Mossy Oak green Leaf camo. It has been a dang good one. It is made of heavy cloth, they don't make'em like it anymore.
