I did something I've never done in 35+ years of muzzleloader hunting. I shot a buck with it last year, loaded it back i forgot to clean it. It has sat all yesr. I went to sight it in, and bullet wasn't seated. No idea why. I tried everything to get powder pellets and bullet out, but to no avail. I have a heavy duty field ramrod, still couldn't budge it. I'm so aggravated at myself...but i had a four wheeler wreck after shooting the buck and hurt my back, and just forgot all about cleaning it. Give me some advice on getting bullet and powder out please. It's a cva optima. Thanks in advance.

What about allowing some kind of solvent, like carb cleaner to soak in the barrel? Or you guys thinking gun oil be better??

Had an old knight given to me that was in the same shape. I stripped it down and put it in a bath of the hottest water I could get. Let it soak about half an hour, put some oil in it and went to work, got the round out and she actually cleaned up fairly nice.

I assume you used a sabot? The plastic sabot will FUSE to the barrel (don't ask how I know). You can try a dowel rod and hammer as has been suggested first but you probably will need to let it soak.

I used to build bullet pullers in case of double loaded guns. You are welcome to try one on it. I live in the knoxville area. If interested, shoot me a pm.
