Need Muzzleloader help

Had an old knight given to me that was in the same shape. I stripped it down and put it in a bath of the hottest water I could get. Let it soak about half an hour, put some oil in it and went to work, got the round out and she actually cleaned up fairly nice.
What he said.

If sabot there are usually easy to pull with a screw in bullet puller (walmart/academy/etc) should have a little kit with puller. After pulling bullet soak hot water then clean.

If can't pull bullet then
Screw out the breech plug, put muzzle down vertical in a vice/clamp whatever works and then pore in HOT water. dump and repeat 30min later and then push out with dowell or good rod.

Soak it and probably going to have to get rough with it. Inherited a ml with a round in it for year. I lubed it both ways and had to use a hammer but it'll come out.

Yes sabot. I'm going to let it soak👍👍
Break Free CLP is widely available at Gun Stores and most places with a Sporting Goods Dept.. After you get it out Run a cleaning swab soaked in it and leave it. You'll need a Good Brass wire bristle brush to scrub between soaking. You should be able to get it good as new with some work.

Ballistol!!!

I am curious how the pellets looked when you pulled the plug? Were they still in their original form? Did they fall right out and just the bullet was stuck?
Pellets were pretty much in original form. They fell out with a little nudge. Bullet and sabot took a little extra nudge or two.
