Neighbor boy found

This point. He found in some creek gravel his dad scooped up to use for fill, and he's tickled pink to have found it! What type is this? Found in Hickman County.

i considered that but the ears are pretty even. With that being said, I think you are right lol

Heck it could be either one. There are some pieces that fit several types for sure. Add thousands of years of creek tumbling and it gets even tougher to ID!

I don't recall seeing adena in that type chert which was my biggest reason for thinking I was wrong. But I could be wrong on that too

Thanks a lot guys! I passed that info on, and he WILL be looking on the same area this one was found. I'll be taking the young man turkey hunting tomorrow morning so maybe we'll do a little search afterwards.
